Les Amis was started by two friends...Tom and Leah.
Hi everyone - I'm Tom. That girl you see over there on the right...that's my friend, Leah.
Leah and I are the same in a lot of ways. We both love Diet Coke - with lime. We love to go out and do things together, like eating at restaurants, going to the movies and playing basketball. But most of all, we both love to help people live healthier, happier lives. That's why we started Les Amis!
Let me tell you more about my friend Leah. She is the coolest, and she treats me like I'm special -- not because I have Down syndrome, but because she just likes me for me. She is sweet and fun, and she's also super smart. Leah is one of my very best friends.
Hi - I'm Leah. Let me introduce you to my friend here on my left...his name is Tom.
The first thing that comes to mind about Tom is his witty sense of humor. This guy is hilarious! He's also a phenomenal basketball player. We do what most friends do; we hang out, have tons of inside jokes, go to baseball games together, and we went to Hawaii together and went snorkeling. Best trip ever! We've even picked up each other's lingo and mannerisms - and if you have a really good friend, you know what I mean. Tom thinks it's funny to immitate me and that makes me laugh! His family and close friends all vie to be his "best friend".
Tom is a generous friend to all he knows - and so we started Les Amis together in order to help others around us. I will cherish our very genuine friendship forever.
