Robin Sattel has four amazing children - the youngest was adopted, knowing prior to her birth that she would be born with Down syndrome.  Janet Kay was loved even before she took her first breath ...and now continues to be loved beyond her last breath.  

 

Sweet Janet Kay passed away in 2012 at the tender age of 15.  In addition to Down syndrome, Janet Kay also had autism.  Robin's love for Janet Kay, as well as for her son, Tom, who was born with Down syndrome, has inspired her to work in the disability non-profit field for her entire career.  Her life's work has been to improve the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.  

 

She wants the world to know that people with learning differences are perfect -- exactly the way they are.
